Do you feel the need for speed? Do you like sunshine and the sounds of the beautiful ocean? Well then you and the residents of Cocoa Beach are in luck because the first annual Space Coast Super Boat Grand Prix is in town this weekend! The chance to see speeding boats coast across the water and grub on some amazing food will be at your fingertips starting Friday August 20, 2010.
The weekend of events will start off with a Friday night racer’s party, then the participants will be testing their boats on Saturday and then the main event will take place on Sunday. If you are really interested in speed boats then you will be in heaven. You can talk to the drivers and view their boats before and after the race, so get your list of questions ready. The race will take place at Cocoa Beach Pier where the competitors will start and finish the race. The boats are fast, colorful and can reach speeds of 200mph!
So hurry and get your tickets before they run out, there are only 400 in existence with each one costing $10 a piece.
