Mardi Gras is tomorrow, and Cocoa Village is gearing up for the celebrations.  If you’re looking for a New Orleans-style celebration, you will find it this weekend in Downtown Cocoa Village, just 11 minutes from Polo Glen.

The festivities start at noon with the free event, Paws in the Park.  If you have a dog, or just like dogs in general, this is a great family-friendly event.  Enjoy a Mardi Gras Parade of Pets, live entertainment, and a variety of pet contests (including the crowning of a “furry King and Queen of the Park”).

The real Mardi Gras celebration gets started at 5, and features a float parade, authentic music played on three stages, and a variety of other entertainment.  Party until midnight, and be prepared to catch some beads from the parade floats!  Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 at the gate.
